Description

Rust Free Arizona 1988 Jeep Grand Wagoneer Overland 1988 Jeep Grand Wagoneer, the one you want, rust free Arizona Jeep. I've owned this for the past 4 years or so and have been building/using it as an overland Jeep while slowly restoring it. There are lots of add ons and new parts. Body is straight, paint is decent. 4" lift via after market springs and front shackle reversal kit. Front and rear 2" receivers. Custom Roof rack with CB antenna, Wilson Cellular antenna, mounts for two more antennas (I took my Ham Radio out), two Jerry can mounts (Jerry cans not included), RotoPax mount with one 4 gallon RotoPax fuel container, full size spare mounted on the roof rack, two Hella 500FF off-road lights up top with tabs for four more. I'll include a deluxe Cobra 29 CB I have in my garage but it won't be installed. Oh, I almost forgot there is a solar panel to generate 12V to keep the battery charged up installed on the front half of the roof rack (needs hooked up). New premium Interstate battery. The four tires are almost new. A new higher end Sony stereo has been installed in the dash, new HD speaker wire is ready to run to the doors and rear. Aftermarket speakers ready to install. HD speaker wire mostly run to speaker locations. I also have some custom cut aluminum door and rear side panels that I will throw in. Use them or sell them on Ebay. Other parts maybe included along with repair manuals (factory dealer manuals) and receipts from some of the prior work and repairs are included Custom front bumper and custom rear bumper with swing away tire carrier with a 2nd spare tire. The custom front bumper has built in tow points that attach to heavy duty tow bar (thinking it could be towed behind an RV) that will be included. High Lift Extreme Jack mounted on roof rack. Thats the good. Here's the bad and ugly with some more good thrown in. This is a 28 year old Jeep. It is not perfect by any means but it has good bones. The front leather seats have been decimated by the hot AZ sun and will need re-upholstered, covered with seat covers or replaced. The back seat is better but will still need to be repaired. The carpet is decent, no bad stains or tears that I know of and would look good with a shampoo. The left rear door window needs a new nylon track, an easy fix. The other three windows have had tracks replaced. The rear window is finicky sometimes it works, sometimes it don't. Been told it's an easy fix but I've not looked into it. The power door actuators sometimes work and sometimes not. Most likely a ground or broken wire. Windows move good then slow down. I've been told new wipes should cure that. Tailgate will need new wipes as they have been cracked by the UV exposure as are the wipes on the door windows. There might be other issues but I can't think of them at this time. I don't believe there are any major mechanical issues. The A/C needs a charge, I'm pretty sure it was R134 converted or so the previous owner told me. The compressor clutch just started to act up on the A/C compressor, I have a replacement one that I will try to find time to install before the auction ends. In fact I have both a replacement compressor with clutch. There are a few other new parts that will go with the Jeep. These are typical Wagoneer issues, no big deal. The main thing is that this is a rust free Jeep the kind you only find in the desert southwest. It runs decent, I replaced the problematic vacuum operated transfer case with an NP 208 from an 82 Wagoneer along with the correct driveshaft and new Ujoints. The original front and rear bumpers will be included as will the factory luggage rack (the custom roof rack uses the factory holes so it could be removed and replaced for a stock look) along with the factory class 3 hitch. You can sell all of this local or on Ebay if you want. I also have a new roll of wood grain to replace the wood grain vinyl on the Jeep. I've taken this to the Grand Canyon's North Rim, the volcanic highlands of AZ, the eastern forests and mountains as well as the lower AZ desert. The back seat has been in the garage since I bought it so I would have room for gear and an air mattress in the back (who wants to pitch a tent). I hate getting rid of this but I have too many projects and because of health issues not enough time or energy. If you have any questions, now is the time to ask. My Jeep is being sold as-is where is with no warranty expressed or implied and being it's a used Jeep that lost it's new car smell 28 years ago. The Jeep is located in Mesa, AZ and it would be your responsibly to come pick it up, drive it or flat tow it (using the included HD tow bar) home or to arrange for shipping. I will assist your shipping company but I will not arrange for shipping. I've looked a couple of shippers and found prices as low as $600 to many other states but that is for you to check out if you want to ship it. A $1000 non refundable deposit via Pay Pal immediately upon winning the auction. The balance will be due within 7 days via Cash -OR- a Cashiers Check drawn on the following banks: Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Chase Bank, Bank of Arizona, Arizona National Bank, Desert Schools Credit Union or any major financial institution with an office within 15 miles of Mesa, AZ so that the check can be verified. Once you have paid the deposit I will get a temp tag issued for the Jeep if you are planning to drive it. If you will be towing it or having it shipped, you won't need one. Title and Jeep will not be released until funds are verified with the bank. Sorry to be so exact on payment but there are way too many fraudulent transactions and phony cashiers checks being presented for payment of vehicles. As a retired peace officer, I've seen too much bank check fraud and I won't let myself become a victim. So if you are the type of person that is looking to defraud someone, you are looking at the wrong auction and the wrong person to try it with.
