1978 Jeep CJ7 Renegad with the rare Levis edition
Description
I have a true 1978 Levis edition Jeep CJ7 up for auction. This is a driver quality Jeep that gets compliments and thumbs up everytime I get it out. I bought this Jeep from supposedly the 2nd owner. I have no way of knowing for sure, just what hetold me and he seemed like a pretty honest fellow. The Jeep did have what appeared to be the original paint. I do have some pics of itbefore it was sent to paint. It does have a clear Virginia title with all the numbers matching.Previous owner had started to restore it and due to health problems was forced to sell it unfinished. This Jeep has had thousands of dollars and man hours spent on it and it shows. I have a folder full of receipts within the last 6 to 8 months that total over $6000 in money spent on the Jeep. That does not include labor and original cost of the Jeep. It has the original engine with just over 100k miles. It runs good, does not leakor rattle. It will puff a little blue smoke when you first start it up if you let it sit for a couple weeks without driving. If you drive it every couple of days it doesn't smoke at all. It does not leak anything. Floorpans were replaced by previous owner. The Jeep has new paint, decals, tires, lights, battery, gas tank, fuel sending unit, fuel lines, gas tank belly pan, Pro-comp shocks, New bikini top in the box, factory OEM Jeep carpet set $400, original type Levis soft-top $950 from Collins Brothers Jeep in Dallas Texas, new tune up with new HEI distributor, new headers, new Thrush side exhaust, new spare tire cover, new tachometer and clock, new Pro-Comp shocks all the way around. All the lights and gauges work, even the interior lights and the underhood light still work. Manual hubs, transfer case and 4-wheel drive works as it should. Original jack and lug wrench are still bolted to the inner fender. A lot of attention to detail was taken putting this Jeep back together using stainless bolts and new hardware whenever possible. When previous owner had the floor pans put in they also repaired a place on the inside of the frame on the passengers side that had rust. Steel plate was welded in to repair the rust place. It looks good and strong. The average eyewould not see it if it wasn't pointed out to you. I have driven the Jeep some and know of nothing it really needs, although I am sure the winning bidder will have to personalize it and add their own touches to the Jeep. It is almost 40 years old, so its not a perfect vehicle, but it is an above average Jeep. I just put a new set of B.F.Goodrich all terrain T/A'S on it last week with the factory wheels along with new lug nuts and centers. They have less than 20 miles on them. The Jeep has power steering and disc brakes on the front with drums on the rear. This is a true Levis Jeep and they are getting harder to find. I get complements and thumbs up everytime I drive it. Front seats are perfect, but the rear seat does have some threads that are coming loose at the seams. Seat belts are in the Jeep front and rear. I'm sure I am forgetting something because so much has been replaced and done to this Jeep. I do have all the factory exhaust manifolds and the original charcoal canister, original distributor and any other original partsthat will be included with the Jeep in case winning bidder wanted to put it back in the factory condition. Please look at all the pics closely. I have tried toinclude everything I know about the Jeep, but feel free to ask any questions and I will respond promptly as I check email daily. Ican help winning bidder with shipping if needed. I have 2 shippers I use and will be glad to get a quote and delivery time if needed or you can just drive it home. Take a look at my feedback scoreand bid with confidence on this rare Jeep. Bidders with zero feedback will need toemail me before bidding or your bid will be cancelled. I reserve the right to end the auction early as it is for sale locally. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
