Description

SOLID,California rust-free1992 LandRover Range Rover County Edition. The sixthyear of theClassic in Short Wheelbase ( SWB) configuration which was sold in the U.S for 9 years, starting in 1987 with the first year of importation, through early 1995.

The 1992 models mark the continued evolvement of earlier models to standard-production numbers manufactured with an honest-to-goodness Antilock ABS brake system. Aside from that, all the traditional Range Rover styling and design continued on until 1995 ( the last year of the iconic Classic ) when they were discontinued and the SWB went on to become automotive history.

This SWB is aSOLID, THREE -OWNERCalifornia SWB Classic, residing in the Bay area since being purchased brand-new at Land Rover of Encino, Southern California in 1992, lived in NV three years and then moving back to the Bay area in 1997. Icurrently resides in the small community of Aptos, CA.

The Range Rover is a Countymodelwithburl wood trim throughout the interior. This one has been set up for advanced off-roading. Low 145K original miles. It starts, idles and driveswell. The engine on this Range Rover received a complete top-end rebuild less than 500 miles ago.

There isNOrustnor corrosion on this vehicle, as it wouldbe expected from a California-lived RRC ( hard-pressed condition to find in anyClassic beyond the Sierra mountains).BEWARE OF RUST BUCKETS EAST OF THE WEST COAST~!

This SWB comes equipped withthestandard features and amenities of its time. As mentioned earlier, it has been set up for off-road duty with 3" lift, heavy-duty EMU springs and struts, EMU blocks, steel rock sliders, heavy-duty bumper with winch-mount capability, rear heavy-duty bumper, outside-mount spare, differential guards and more. It may not be cosmetically pretty, but it is strong and sturdy.

In addition, it has a CB radio, roof rack bars, optionalalloy wheelsand factory Tow package. Very good set ofall-terrain tires( approximately 80% of tread left) mounted on a nice, clean set offactoryspecial-order CYCLONE alloy wheels. Expensive heavy-duty off road rear bumper with neat rear swing-out spare mount & jerry can holder.

Obviously,NO NIGHTMARISH EAS to contend with, and this SWB Classic has always had a normal coil & strut suspension. NO air-deflation nighmares ever!

Stock 3.9L engine runs well. As it is well documented in all Land rover circles, the 3.9L was a vast improvement over the early 3.5engines as it was more robust and had more torque as a result of engine redesigning to increase displacement to a more efficient, reliable motor.

NO overheating issues, tickingnor any noisesto contend with.Less than 500 miles on a complete top-end rebuild, with 145K total miles, better than average for any Land Rover.

Automatic transmission shifts well into all gears. Low and High transfer cases work fine. Four-wheel Power disc brakes ( with new front brakes),Power steering, Power windows andPower seats and sliding sunroof.High flow exhaust and K&N intake system as pictured.

Finish has been green-primered ( over the original Plymouth blue) as the former owner had it set up for hunting. Not an issue if you are looking for rough and ready RRC for off-roading, desert crawling or camping. And the price is right.

The body, chassisand undercarriage are solid considering this RRC is nearly twenty five years young !

There isNO corrosion or rusting on the roof, hood or filler panel areas, common on many Rovers, specially East Coast examples where the elements and salted roads have taken their toll on the body panels and undercarriage,a hindrancenearly impossible to repair!

The original Connolly tan upholstery is ingood condition and has held upsurprisingly well. There are no cracks or tears on any of the leather in the seats, except wear to the outer bolster area from getting in and out ( my local upholsterer can replace that panel for about $100). BOTH front seats are overall ingood condition, with no other splits, tears or seam separation.Headliner is actually nice ( likelyrefinished previously at some point) from end to en, including the sunroof shade, and it looks GOOD.

Overall, aclean interior, door panels, factory carpetingandtrunk area. The photos show the Rangie accurately. NON SMOKER vehicle.Note: the factory speakers on the front door panels have been reinstalled. I also have the factory stereo in a box that will come with the RRC.

Solid unrestored 92' Range Rover County Classic set up for off-road excursions. It's arust-freeSWB, withdecentmiles and the good 3.9L engine. It runswell with a strong, solid powertrain. Clean chassis, no tweaks and NO rust and still all-original interior. It would make a great traveler, off-roader, ranch truckor camping Rangie with sometlc and personal touches, or leave it as it is and go off-road.

I've been around Land Rovers for over 30 years, and have owned various models and vintages. Classics are the best investment for the money, specially rust-freeSWBs. SERIOUS inquiries ONLY, please.

I do not need nor like to photoshoppictures, depict fancy photographic shoots, scenic backdrops, what other Range Rovers look like restored, nor embellish what I sell. My reputation, my feedback and my seller history speak for themselves. And I alsoAM a real Rover enthusiast.

Unlike the vast majority of Ebay sellers who simply sell what they do not know ( let alone car dealers!), I actually own a Land Rover ( actually, I own anLWB, two other SWBs,a 2010 Sport and two DIIs) and I am fairly familiar with all their quirks.

Feel free to call me with questions at (650) 430-4660 PST. I have priced this Classic SWB fairly and way below-market to sell, as it is a solid, unrestored example of arust-freeRRC. The engine work and add-ons alone are worth the opening bid. A minty SWBwould be way over $15K to start. And done on someone else's taste, not yours.

ThisSWB Classic hasa clear California title.* FREE current AUTOCHECK report available at no charge.

I am also advertising this vehicle in other venues, and as such, Ireserve the right to end this listing at any time, should a serious offer or a BUY-IT-NOW opportunity present itself.

Range Rover Classics are getting harder and harderto find without them being all rusted out, or having to pay a premium for a clean example.

Simply put, there is nothing coolerthan a Range Rover Classic. Period.

Or you can drive a Prius or a Honda Civic, like everyone else.

I shall be glad to assist coordinating shipping of this Range Rover anywhere nationwide or overseas, at the most economical shipping rate available. Please be aware, I do not control pick up or delivery times should you purchase it; that is pending weather conditions and shipping/ trucking delivery schedules.

Of note: Do not calculate shipping cost based on the Ebay calculator. Shipping to just about anywhere on the East coast is less than $1000. Other parts of the U.S closer to California are considerably less, of course.

I will do everything I can on my end to ensure and expedite delivery at the most financially sensible rate on the market.

Should you be the winning bidder, I would like to receive payment within THREE business days, please. Payment can be made via cashier's check or certified funds. Personal, business or annuity checks may be utilized, but must clear funds first, prior to any transportation arrangements being made. If you have questions or would like to discuss other payment arrangements, be sure to contact me prior to placing a bid, please.

An alternate method of payment can be done via bank wire transfer to my local CHASE Bank branch here in town. It is a very simple process, and it helps expedite delivery of the car. Upon receipt of payment, I will mail you the CA title and a Bill of sale to the car.

Feel free to EM or call me with questions or serious inquiries, no later than 9 pm PST, please. Thank you all for your interest!
