Bought in England, lightly restored in Ireland, 100% legally imported by a professional.This is a very rare former fire department emergency surf rescue vehicle...therefore it only has 81,000 original miles and it drives like it to prove it!!
Currently located in Wake Forest NC but, ready to drive across the country!Titled in North Carolina but, can be legally titled/registered in all 50 states!(California requires a bit more paperwork I think but, the factory 3.5 litre V8, I've been told, is far easier and less expensive to title in California than the diesel.)
Steering is on the right hand side and the desirable 5 speed V8 makes this Defender 130 a lot more fun, practical and comfortable to drive than the diesel version.
I've driven the truck without any problems about a 1000 miles since it arrived.Starts up almost instantly on the coldest day. Steering feels like an 80,000 mile truck! Transfer case makes no noise.Drove it 8 hours from Raleigh NC to Roanoke VA yesterday!
Still finishing up odds and ends.Truck has new paint, doors, new clutch, new transmission.Adding a Voyager roof rack and lights this week. New Ashcroft transmission needs minor adjustment(under warranty). Needs new rear brake pads. Undercarriage needs paint but selling it as is in original condition so, you can see there is no rust. Rear canvas hood included.

Test drive and pre-purchase inspection are welcome and highly encouraged. If you set up and pay for the inspection I will deliver the truck to the mechanic.
