Description

This Defender 90 was imported from Dorset, United Kingdom and wasmeticulouslymaintained with a binder full ofservicehistory. Theexterior is in good cosmetic shape but does show its age;only adding to its original character. The bulkhead has surface rust spots but otherwise is in good condition. According to the vehicles service history, chassis welding took place in acouple different locations and did in fact pass all of its current MOT tests. The chassis does show its age, but is in good solid condition. Sometime during its life in England the door bottoms were repaired, and paintedblack. The original paint has lost some of its glimmer over the years but still stands out as it should. There are a few paint touch ups in various locations. The defender stripe, chequer plating, front bumper, side steps, and fog lights were all added aftermarket. The roof was painted black at one point in its life, which adds a great contrast to the originalred paint. The aftermarket steel wheels do have a few rust spots, and the 5 matching mud tires are in good, healthy condition.

The interior of this defender is in good condition, andeverything works as it was designed to do so. Theseats are in good overall shape with one small tear on the passenger seat bottom. The dashboard is in good shape with no cracks, and the door cards are also in good condition. Thefloor boards are in good conditionwith no rust. The headliner does showsigns of age but still cleans up nicely. The lights, blinkers, horn, and wipers alloperate with no issues. There is an aftermarketSony radio installedwith two smallspeakers that get the job done just fine. The rear cargo area hastwo folddown seats, and has a thin rubber floor liningthroughout. The rear wiper, washer, and defroster all work as wellwith no issues.

.

The 200Tdi starts up quickly, and idles smoothly with zero issues. The Garret turbospools upquickly, and pullsstrongthroughout its entirepower band. The defenderhas113,124 miles on the clock, and has been maintainedthoroughly throughout its lifetime. This defender is an absolute blast to drive! Its fivespeed manual transmission shifts smoothly and highway speeds of 60-70mph can be driven comfortably.I have personally driven this defenderinHouston traffic, and on the freeway traveling 65-70 mph with zero issues. 95degreeplus temperatures are no problem for this defenders cooling system even when sitting inheavytraffic. I've driven this defender close to 100 miles since she landed stateside, and it puts a smile on my face every timeI fire it up. This defender is anabsolute perfect timepiece as is, or is a perfectcandidate for someonewho is looking to build a show truck since everythingmechanicallyhas already been taken care of.
