The first production Land Rover 110s were produced in March 1983 and this 1 owner vehicle has been confirmed by British Motor Heritage as being manufactured on March 29th 1983. It has a genuine 48k miles (77k kms).
This is a handsome HCPU and is historically important in land Rover terms with some interesting and original features. This vehicle was purchased from a gentleman who had owned it direct from Land Rover - he had served in British Army. The gentleman confirmed what other details suggest, that this was a special build vehicle for the market of Saudi Arabia, however, the Saudi folk had requested the diesel option rather than this early petrol and it was duly returned.
Solihull where it was made available for sale. As a genuine LHD 110, this vehicle also has such a rare feature for this age - air-conditioning!
This Land Rover 110 is one of a handful of genuine LHD early vehicles and the body has a beautiful patina showing its 33 years of use. The interior is in good original condition; the chassis is very good and whilst it has had minor repairs, it has been treated with a preservative and has some evidence of original factory paint. Importantly, it retains its original chassis and number, the original and sweet running 2286cc petrol with 5 speed permanent 4WD.
This vehicle has been fully imported into the US and has been registered as Collector Vehicle in Washington state. It has recently been tuned up and all fluids changes and new oil filter ready for a good run around town. I've been driving it since it has been imported and looking for a new owner for it.
