1989 Land Rover V8 Defender 90 with A/C. Originally sold in Greece, this clean, no-rust example of the D90 underwent a complete renovation in 2014 at a cost exceeding $30K. The truck was driven sparingly since then accumulating less than 5,000 kilometers (2,800 miles). Certified copy of a factory record issued by The British Motor Industry Heritage Trust is included.
The list of work done is very long(see the picture for translated parts list) but here are some highlights: new paint, overhauled transmission, refreshed engine and drivetrain, new convertible top, new carpet, new engine hood, and windshield, water pump. The renovation also included installation of an external roll cage and protection of the frame with anti-corrosion agents (inside and out). The A/C is updated to r134a refrigerant and works very well. Original black leather upholstery was preserved for its classy patina. Entire floor is sound-insulated with Dynamat resulting in substantially quieter than stock interior .
I imported this truck last year but used it only a few times. My 1991 tdi200 gets all the love around the house so this one sits unused.
Certified copy of a factory record issued by The British Motor Industry Heritage Trust is included along with parts invoices. The truck has been legally imported, fully documented, and comes with clean Illinois title.
This is a great alternative to the highly prized (and priced) 1994-97 NA, for a lot less money.
Please note that as good as this Defender is no warranty or guarantee is made, the car is sold as-is. The car is available for test drive and inspection at my location. Ask questions before bidding.
