Description

Greetings!!! This 1973 Land Rover Series III is a rare UK righthand driver that seats 11 passengers!! When I purchased this Land Rover 4 years ago, it had just been driven from California to Arizona and although there is some minor surface rust, it is still running great and starts up at the turn of the key. This LR is perfect for a restoration project, but would also be a great daily driver or outdoor adventure vehicle. There is some normal wear and tear which would be expected on a 45 year old car. - 47K ‘Original’ miles - Right-hand drive - Massive galvanized steel safari roof rack and ladder - All lights in working order - A/C mounted in the rear ($2700.00, with receipt) - Farley overdrive - 5 new rims/tires, less than 50 miles (BF Goodrich All Terrain $1400.00, with receipt) - Center console and storage under front passenger seat - Engine bulkhead is in good condition with no penetrating rust - Minimal rust on chassis and floorboards (under protective rubber) The car was repainted at some point in her life and shows its age; very minimal surface rust on the frame and doors. Interior is good with no rips in the upholstery; original headliner. There is a small crack on the dash. There is a small ding on the right hand door for which the previous owner used Bondo to fix, about the size of a quarter. It could use new weather stripping all around. From the time that I purchased this vehicle, I have also had a new carburetor installed and had a brake system overhaul. This vehicle is definitely an eye-catcher. You will notice the extra attention that is often accompanied with a “thumbs up”! The 4-cylinder engine is slow, but fun to drive. Crawls like a mountain goat when in 4-wheel drive. Very rare to see someone driving a massive Landrover like this and even more rare to see a right-hand driver on the road. Please feel free to ask any questions you might have. I will make an effort to promptly respond to the best of my ability, as I am preparing to deploy overseas in late September. Good Luck Bidding!
