Description

Lovely old survivor Series 1 Landy. 1956 '86, fully functional, I drive most days. Extremely unusual in California, has correct yellow plates, new tyres on '56 coded wheels, nice old gearbox, engine in perfect condition gone through thoroughly. Correct carb and ignition, air intake, fuel delivery systems, all exactly how it should be. Always starts, reliable. Really tasty leather seats, 4x4 works perfectly with the correct manual front hubs. Has all it's weather gear just re-installed for the rainy season...thats aluminum shell and removable door tops. Folding windscreen with all correct hardware and new glass. Wiper, work lights, heater all function, fuel tank spotless, all lights working. I found this in Nevada about 5 years ago, there is no rust. It's not been messed with, welded up etc.Unknown how it ended up on a ranch in Nevada, the only thing we do know about it's history is that sometime in the Eighties it was sold to a junkyard in northern California before being sold on complete to the owner in Nevada. You never, never see these in this kind of condition, a fabulous, functioning piece of Land Rover history. This is a sixty year old Landrover that I drive daily, so let's not kid ourselves about anything here; I'm constantly maintaining this truck, and I'd expect the new owner to do the same. There are currently some jobs to do such as replacing the speedo cable, repair to fuel level gauge, and it could use a front spring. If you want these done, I can do, but the truck is up for sale as it sits. I'd need 1 thou deposit in Paypal within 24 hours, and cashiers cheque within 72 hours. Yes, we live in a first world country. Paypal takes about 4 minutes of your time, and we have outfits like FEDEX for delivery. It's not hard. This truck needs to be seen, and we need to go for a fun drive, so if you're not planing on coming to see it, you will have to contact me and give me a pretty good reason why not.
