Description

For sale is my 1965 Land Rover Series 2a that I purchased from Vancouver, imported, and shipped across the country. The back story is that this was used in Northern Alberta Canada to inspect gas lines for 20+ years, if I remember the previous owners heritage correctly. Then it was bought by an employee who sold it to the gentleman that I purchased it from. It's an awesome truck but I have found something I want more so I am selling. This Rover has all original patina'd paint and even the company stencil can still faintly be made out on the doors. I have a clean US title in hand for whomever decides to buy it. My rover also comes with a ton of valuable very hard to find parts. Some of the body panels on this are being manufactured from plastic instead of the original aluminum so I have hunted for a long time to find these from all areas of the country.
Some specs:
- Original 2.25L Gas Engine that runs great
- Upgraded to a Series 3 synchronized 4-speed transmission (I've had others without this transmission and this is a definite upgrade.
- I have never used the 4x4 but to my knowledge it works as it should

1 - Standard Full Hard Top (currently installed) with tailgate and liftgate
1 - Tropical Hard Top with new Alpine Glass rubbers
1 - Full Soft Top in Tan
2 - Original Aluminum Front Inner Fenders that are nearly flawless and were painted for a restoration that never happened
1 - Original Aluminum Passenger Side Outer Fender which was painted for a restoration that never happened
2 - Original Matching Patina outer and Inner Aluminum Fenders from a Series 3 with headlights in the front
2 - Original Matching Patina Door Sills (these are the panels that mount under the doors. Most people removed these for the higher ground clearance so they are difficult to find.
1 - Original Aluminum Front Frame Cover with curved front design leading to grill (currently installed)
1 - Original Aluminum Front Frame Cover with angled front design leading to grill
1 - Full Set of new floor bolts
1 - Full Set of new bolts for Hard top to body
1 - Full Set of new bolts for connecting the hard top sides to the hard top roof
1 - new set of hard top rubbers for windshield and sides
1 - Original Aluminum Station Wagon back door which was painted for a restoration that never happened

This is a very original Land Rover priced below everything you will find on eBay, Classic Car Trader, or Auto Trader. These are becoming harder and harder to find in this condition. From what I can see the frame is in really good shape and the firewall has minimal surface rust but note that I am not a body work expert. If your local your welcome to come by and take a look.
