The D90 was completely disassembled, frame off and and assembled from the frame up. All body panels were treated preppedprimed and painted. The frame has been stripped down, and re painted. This vehicle was a southern dry climate Defender which had substantially no rust. The frame has never been used in salted winter roads, nor in beach launching.
If you are looking for a properly restored diesel Land Rover then this by far is the one to consider.
The interior is a bespoke upholstered in grey vinyl keeping its OEM appeal however refitted to a finer quality than the original. All rubber seals have been replace.
Light lenses are new, light bulbs changed out.
Mechanically we went through this vehicle extensively.
Recent refitting was done to the following;
Engine
Our speciaist opened the engine to check and confirm no extensive ware or scratching on the bearings, and cylinder walls.
The crank was inspected and new bearings installed. The pistons were confirmed in good condition and new rings installed.
The front and rear main seals were replaced.
New break in oil has been replaced to the engine.
New Air Filter
New Oil filter
New water separator filter
New Belts
New Hoses
New Head gasket
New Oil Pan gasket
Gearbox
We went through the gear box to ensure no damage to the gears
All new gear box gaskets were installed
New seals installed
Chassis
Bushing Replaced
Shock Towers inspected, washers and nuts replaced
Chassis was completely stripped, primed and painted
Drive shaft busshings check and new lock bolts added
This is a ready to use and drive Defender mechanically sound and ready to go!
