[isdntekvideo] Drive this left hand drive Defender, topless this summer!
I bought this Defender from the original owner in 2006 at around 40000miles, has about 79900miles on the odometer now.
it's original 2.5 Turbo Diesel engine and 5 speed manual LT77 gearbox. Upgraded to powersteering in 2007. And repainted in Epsom Metallic Green (British Racing Green) in 2006.It has a very rare fiberglass hard top from the NAS version, which makes this a hard top convertible. Not to be confused with a regular hard top, which has the safetybelts mounted on the hardtop and has a full size tailgate, making it impossible to drive legally without the roof. This Land Rover has safetybelts mounted on special brackets and a 2-part tailgate, making it road legal even with the hard top removed.
A number of things have been replaced over the years including but not limited to:
-Heavy duty clutch pressure assembly, disk, master and slave cylinder
-Full exhaust pipes and silencers
-Power steering (complete with steering box, pump, enginebracket, pipings and fluidreservoir)
-Brake booster, master- and slave cylinders
-Boost alloy 16" wheels and general grabber tires and 30mm wheelspacers
-Super rare Eastnor Edition (NAS) fiberglass hard top
-Fuel injectors and injector pipes-Fuel injector pump and lift pump
-Distribution belt (at 60000miles in 2011)
-Front bumper
-Convertible safetybelt mounting brackets
-Complete rear tub cappings (satin black)
-Rear light cluster corners (satin black)
-Rear quarter panels (satin black)
-Td5 steering wheel
-All lighting (TD5-TD4 style)
-Door wheather strips
-Fueltank
-Waterpump
-All filters and motoroil were replaced 400 miles ago (august 2018).
The bulkhead is in very good condition, the engine bay is very clean, and it's a good engine. The paint at the front end is still very nice, but from the doors to the back it could use new paint, to have it looking like new. The rear tub cappings and rear panels have all been renewed and are ready for paint, currently painted satin black. Front doorbottoms have rustholes at the underside, only visible when looking from directly under.
It's a 30 year old Land Rover, so it's obviously not gonna be like new, but still very good mechanical condition and can be driven as is.
The VIN# is SALLDVAB8EA351522
