Letting go of my 1993 LR Defender 90 Pickup.
200TDI engine w/ 5 speed manual transmission. Body work is good - just the standard Landy ripple here and there. No rust bubbles or holes (unlike most D90s of this vintage). Solid chassis. Previous owner was meticulous about applying sealing undercoat, and it shows. Truck bed in excellent condition, sealed and painted with hard enamel.
I recently took her up to Palita's Land Rover shop in PA for a complete mechanical inspection to ensure she's up to snuff. $6k later, she's solid as a rock - here's what they did:
Replaced front brakes (pads and rotors), plus swivel balls
New seals on engine, transmission, and transfer case
Straighted steering wheel (was off center and super annoying)
Replaced hood release cable
Repaired parking brake and replaced assembly
Resurfaced rear brake drums and replaced expanders
New clutch
Previous owner added the following:
New windshield and seals
New floormats and seat box trim
New black diamond plate body protection
Refurbed the tail gate with new stringer
Professionally reupholstered the driver and passenger seats with Exmoor trim from the UK. This included the sponge inner so now very comfortable.
Seals to the forward vents, door bottoms and external window seals.
New bumper (old was rusted and dented) and bolts.
Front grill and headlight trims replaced
As mentioned and shown in the photos the vehicle will also have its Ifor Williams (from Wales) rear aluminum cab included. It’s in excellent condition and unclips in seconds. These are very rare particularly in the US. This thing is pretty cool, especially if you have dogs.
