Description

1989 Land Rover Defender 110, imported from Italy through Houston port of entry in 11/2015. I hold all paperwork. Has original Colorado emissions report showing a pass in 12/2015. I bought the truck out of Denver 11/2016. Since then, the truck has undergone extensive restoration and upgrades, including:

  • VIN: SALLDHMB8FA392545

  • 200 Tdi Conversion with remanufactured engine. ~2,000 miles on the new odometer. Work performed by Defenders Northwest in Gig Harbor, WA. Starts right up, runs great, and is a dependable daily driver.
  • New Land Rover complete exhaust system installed 11/2019
  • Upgraded to new 285/75/16 BF Goodrich AT KO2 tires x5, still in like-new condition
  • New custom front bull bar bumper
  • New headlight surrounds
  • New Grille
  • New LED headlights
  • New LED brake, marker, and parking lights
  • New LED dome light
  • Mechanic-updated engine ground wire and wiring to exterior lights
  • Rear wiring upgrade including power and ground wires (Defenders Northwest Clean Bum wiring kit)
  • Several yards of previous-owner wiring removed
  • Fuse panel upgrade to blade-style fuses
  • New rear class 3 receiver step bumper
  • New wing top diamond plates and metal air intake vents
  • Full length roof rack from Frontrunner Vehicle Outfitters, with ladder mounted for access. Can mount nearly anything on the rack, including rocket boxes, RTT, expedition gear, etc
  • New Tuffy Box locking security console installed between front seats
  • New seatbelts front and middle rows. Cargo area seats and seatbelts have been removed for utility storage, but I have them and they can go back in easily. Rear cargo/sleeping platform with Bedrug and underneath storage currently in the cargo area.
  • New dashboard to match the center console and seat covers
  • New Knightsbridge Overland seat covers front and rear seats
  • Old carpet removed and replace with new carpet kit from Rovers North, after applying acoustic/heat insulation (Dynamat Extreme)
  • New rubber floor mats front and rear
  • New aluminum footwell panels driver and passenger front footwells
  • Old rear sliding windows replaced with Frontrunner Vehicle Outfitters Gullwing windows. I have the original windows still plus new rubber gaskets
  • I have a new windscreen and gasket in packaging (currently not installed)
  • I bought a stainless steel fastener kit to replace all existing non-stainless fasteners in the truck. I’ve been replacing them as I work on certain projects. The remaining fasteners to go with truck
  • New rear door gas strut recently installed, with original retained for backup.
  • Front driver and passenger and rear hatch door all lined with Dynamat Extreme
  • New steering wheel shroud installed, and all steering column and dash switches upgraded/replaced
  • New rubber door seals on all passenger doors
  • New hood latch and catch
  • New heater and new actuator cables
  • New power steering belt
  • New starter motor
  • New horn
  • Operable sunroof, although currently leaks water in a heavy rain/carwash
  • New water temperature gauge installed. I have new EGT gauge, tachometer, and fuel gauges yet to be installed
  • I have some additional new parts to be installed if wanted (Raptor Engineering dash console, which would house the new gauges)
  • Over $20,000 in upgrades, including engine. I have a spreadsheet with all additions, part numbers, and part costs.
  • The only thing I know of that doesn’t work is the rear wiper motor. The wiring going to it is functional. I have part numbers for a replacement wiper motor, but have not yet purchased it
  • Weeps small amounts of fluid as all Land Rovers of this vintage do, but I check fluids regularly and have not needed to refill between service intervals
  • Has some galvanic corrosion on the door sills, typical of these vehicles
  • Very clean overall, with minimal body rust and no frame rust
  • Windscreen has a crack, but I have a replacement
  • Some glue residue present in middle row footwell where I tore out old carpet
  • $400 non-refundable deposit due within 48 hours of successful purchase. Balance due at vehicle pickup or with cashier's check before release for shipping. Buyer will coordinate shipping, and I will ensure the vehicle gets on the truck.
