CLEAN, completely rust-free 1991 LandRover Range Rover Classic Short Wheel Base. A rare GREAT DIVIDE EDITION, number #183 of only 250 ever made, and only built in 1991. This SWB is aONE-OWNER California SWB Classic, residing in California its entire life since being sold newat Land Rover of Encino inAnaheim, CA. Subsequently relocated to Silicon valley in 1994 where it has lived all of its life.
The Range Rover Classic SWB is made in Countytrim, completely stock and all original. Low 144.9K original miles. It starts, idles and drives very well, quietly and smoothly on both town and on the highway, as it should be expected from a well-kept SWB.
There is ABSOLUTELY NO rust nor corrosion on this vehicle, as it would be expected from any always-California-lived Land Rover ( hard-pressed condition to find in any Land Rover beyond the Sierra mountains). BEWARE OF RUST BUCKETS FROM THE EAST COAST~! ( it's beyond me why anyone would want to buy an East coast car with potential hidden rust ).
This Range Rover Classic comes fully equipped with most standard features and amenities available at that time. In addition, it has the unique super Heavy-duty bumper only available on GREAT DIVIDE Range Rovers ( less than 150 known to remain existing). Clean factory-optional 16" Polished alloy GD wheels ( exclusive to GDs), including the spare wheel along with MICHELIN MVXradial tires mounted on them ( with approximately 90% tread left in the fronts, 40% in the rears).
NO NIGHTMARISH EAS (air suspension) option to contend with, a troublesome and very expensive issue to repair. This SWB has always had a normal coil & strut suspension. NO air-deflation nightmares ever!
Stock 3.9L engine engine runs very well. As it is well documented in all Land rover circles, the 3.9 motor was a vast improvement over the earlier 3.5 engines as it was more robust and had more torque as a result of engine redesigning to increase displacement to a more efficient, reliable motor.
NO overheating issues, ticking nor noises to contend with. This SWB has only 144K total miles, better than average for any Land Rover. Automatic transmission shifts well into all gears. Low and High transfer cases work fine. Four-wheel Power disc brakes, Power steering and Power windows, Power mirrors ( both still work),sliding sunroofs ( does not leak), Power seats ( both work), cruise control, CD player andA/C.
Finish is still in its beautiful, original Alpine white color, ( the best color combination for a Range Rover Classic in my opinion). Still shines quite nicely. The body, chassis and undercarriage are super solid considering this Range Rover Classic is twenty five yrs young !
There is NO oxidation of the clearcoat on the roof, hood or rear areas ( or anywhere else for that matter), a common ailment on many Rovers, specially East Coast examples where the elements and salted roads have taken their toll on the body panels and undercarriage, a hindrance nearly impossible to repair!
Its original Connolly upholstery is in very good condition and has held upwell. VERY RARE perforated leather interior, unique to GREAT DIVIDE Editions only. There are no cracks or tears on any of the leather in the seats.Bottom of driver's seat has been refinished. Excellent headliner.Overall, a very clean interior, door panels, factory carpeting and trunk area.
The photos show this Range Rover Classic GREAT DIVIDE accurately. NON SMOKER vehicle, ever. A very solid, rust-free unrestored 91' Land Rover Classic SWB, with better-than-average miles and the good 3.9L engine. It runs well with a strong, solid powertrain. Clean chassis, no tweaks and absolutely NO rust and nice originalinterior. It will make a great traveler, camping vehicle or just a fun Land Rover to drive around.

GREAT DIVIDE Editions are even rarer unrestored, and they usually command a premium.
