This is a great opportunity to get a Defender 110 Turbo Diesel that is already stateside, legal, and registered. These trucks get harder and harder to comeby at reasonable prices each year. For a 25 year old vehicle it is in very good shape. —> This is the BEST drive train setup! 200TDI-LT77S-1.4 RATIO BOX. If you ask around many knowledgable folks will tell you that the 200TDI engine is the best mechanical injection engine Land Rover ever made. These are well over engineered, and extremely robust 400-500K engines! This will also do 75MPH, versus the earlier diesels which will not do this speed, unless on a 5% down-hill with a tail wind! She starts right up, is not smoking, and runs right! —>Frame requires nothing! Yes a good scrub down and a good undercoating are always welcome, but she is in far superior shape for her age to comparable trucks.
—>Body is extremely honest, as this is the original paint on display! So no hidden rust behind a “fresh paint job”.
—>The bulkhead, is in extremely good shape for its age, and will need next too nothing.
—> Paint, is original! Yes she is dull but honest, and that is exactly what makes this a good honest buy! You’re better of knowing what a truck needs rather than having a cheap paint job hide $$$ in repairs!
—> Everything on the truck works! Yes, all the electronics, all the lights, everything!
—> Larger tires which help for a more comfortable ride. —> Newer poly suspension bushes which also help with the ride. —> 12,000 pound winch on the front with remote, if somehow you do manage to get stuck. —> She is serviced up, so the main fluids: gearbox, transfercase, engine oil, Axle’s have been changed with the correct factory fluids.

I have personally driven the vehicle and know how what and where, and will gladly answer any concerns you may have. In my opinion (grew up in the back of a 109 station wagon, rrc and defender restorationist, and owned every ladder chassis landy aside from a forward control) it is a fantastic truck, good mechanically, good chassis wise, and very honest body!
