Description

1989 Land Rover 110 Defender 200TDI County 4x4

VIN SALLDHMB7FA391210

This vehicle is in Texas and is in excellent shape. It is an RHD model and was previously owned and well cared for by a Land Rover enthusiast in England. The vehicle has been dealer maintained with service records included. This 110 underwent a dealer performed overhaul in 2010 which included repainting of the vehicle in the original color Arless Blue, an engine conversion to the more powerful 200 TDI from the same owner’s 1991 LR Discovery, a clutch replacemen, rear main seal, and rocker cover seals. More recently in 2016 the dealer installed new shocks, steering link rod end, new pitman ar, rear sway bar link, all new brake hard line, hoses, and brake pads, oil sump gasket, and complete fluids change. The tires have been replaced and have full tread. The wheels including spare are brand new Land Rover Boost Alloys. The seats and upholstery are in excellent condition with no rips or stains. The carpet and headliner are brand new and perfect. Has a Pioneer stereo and two front speakers. All knobs, switches, lights and gauges work properly. The vehicle passed the stringent European MOT check in 2016, as well as US EPA and Customs import regulations. It has a clear Texas title.

It has 209,065 miles showing on the odometer although the 200TDI engine has 145,000 miles.

This truck starts immediately every time, has a good battery and runs and drives beautifully. It will drive at 75mph without problem. Very reliable. Turns heads everywhere!

I picked this vehicle with the intention of performing a frame off restoration with my son and I made sure I was buying one with an excellent rust free frame and outriggers and great shape body with which to start. The door bottoms are rust free, as are the sills. Please note I am an experienced auto restorer and after looking this truck through, I determined it was in good enough shape that it didn’t need the full restoration planned. I did painstakingly clean and paint the underbody, engine bay, and suspension components, and replaced all visible fasteners with new. It is super clean inside and out. Has a new electric cooling fan. I’m offering it at a price that is excellent for the quality of this truck.

Some notable details:

·New Shocks front and rear

·New brake hard line, hoses, and pads front and rear

·New electric cooling fan with adjustable operating temp

·New engine temp sensor

·New fuel and oil filters

·New full headliner

·New full carpeting set including bed sides

·New floor mats

·New Boost alloy wheels and wheel caps (5)

·New LR lug nuts for alloy wheels

·New 30mm alloy wheel spacers used with Boost wheels to give proper offset and hub clearances.

·Tires have 99% tread

·Jack and tools included

·Sunroof

·All glass is in perfect shape with no scratches or pits

To the best of my ability I will describe the items that may need to be addressed:

1.There are a couple dime sized areas where the paint has bubbled. Most should be able to be addressed without painting the whole vehicle.

2.There are a few minor door dings and dents as is common with a vehicle of this age.

3.There are a couple drips of oil each day at the rear of the engine. Nothing alarming or out of line with a vehicle of this age.

Please ask any questions you may have.
