This is a great opportunity to get a Defender 110 Hi-cap that is already stateside, legal, and registered. These trucks get harder and harder to comeby at reasonable prices each year. This is a good example, is the perfect camping / adventuremobile...or you can drive it as-is reliably as a daily driver. Everyone has their own ideas of what they need in a rig and that's why we are letting this one go unrestored. In short, this great example is entirely up to you to personalize and build as you see fit. (We will gladly lend a hand of course)


100% legally imported and registered in the State of West Virginia. She is currently parked up at our shop in the Martinsburg region, where we restore these vehicles. Given we charge folks $40 to work on these trucks i simply have run out of time to work on my own projects and this happens to be one of those. Yes you are more than welcome to come and look. I will also gladly restore the vehicle for you, but be advised the earliest i could take on that work would be mid March.


For a 32 year old vehicle it is in above average shape. It suffers from the standard Defender issues that come with a vehicle of this age.


—> As you can see in the images, she could do with a set of new wing panels. Yes, we have these parts laying around and will gladly sell you the items needed. Installation could also be negotiated.


—> Doors are in terrific shape


—> Bulkhead has been repaired with the right panels, metal!!!! NOT BONDO!


—> She drives well, manages to do 60-65, and goes around corners the way she should. I will tell you that the car does shudder due to original bushings in the suspension all the way around.

—>Frame requires a good undercoating. Yes i inspected it with a boroscope and this is why i bought the vehicle initially for restoration.

—> Paint leaves much to be desired, and i recommend you strip it and have it repainted. This way you know the bones with which you are working rather than buying a “freshly painted truck” which in our experience always hides $$$ in the form of tons of rust.


—> This truck actually has only 54K miles. This is verifiable with old paperwork that we received with the vehicle. This really is quite low mileage for one of these, as many you see have over 200k miles and or no documentation.

The rest:

I have personally driven the vehicle and know how what and where, and will gladly answer any concerns you may have. In my opinion (grew up in the back of a 109 station wagon, rrc and defender restorationist, and owned every ladder chassis landy aside from a forward control) it is, a good truck mechanically, certainly on par to the trucks we usually deal with and repair. As with all trucks this age i do recommend you change all the rubber bushings out, as this is often overlooked by novice sellers.


Fluids have been checked, but they are not serviced. I do recommend you fully service the truck upon taking delivery. Easy truck to work on and i will gladly lend a hand via the phone/skype if you get stuck.



Please remember, this vehicle is now 32 years old and as such has the normal expected wear for it's age due to its originality. Please do not come or bid expecting a showroom 110. If that is what you are looking for you are going to pay 70K+. That being said, it is a great truck that is the perfect starting point for your own adventure lifestyle for years to come.


We do stock quite a bit of parts that can be purchased separately and a price for installation can be negotiated.
