Up for auction is a 1961 Lincoln Continental convertible. We purchased it from an attorney's office that received this car during the estate settlement of the original owner. They assured me that the 21,388 miles are true and correct. The car looks very nice and there is no rust anywhere. It's won two awards at local car shows in the bay area.one for survivor from 1961 - 2017.
If you watch the YouTube video under the name of Car Guy Channel and find Episode 113 (full length version) you will see many of the pluses and a few minuses on this car.The car did have a repaint in the early 70s because it was scratched being pulled out of a small garage space. Apparently, the door jambs were not repainted.
One of the many pluses is the power top works beautifully, which I feel is one of the most important areas. We had a specialist that drives through the United States and services only Lincoln convertible tops. We replaced a few relays and a brand new pump. We also installed a handheld remote so the top can be operated from 20 feet away.
We did a safety inspection on this car. Belts, hoses, compression are all good. Transmission shifts smooth as silk, all the power windows and power seat and top work fine.
We have found no leaks on the car. This is a non-air conditioned car which I feel is a plus as it keeps it running nice and cool. This car is ready to drive anywhere. Please look at the video which is from a local TV show that featured this car.
This vehicle is being sold as is where is.
