"We change the world, and ourselves, by our response to unexpected opportunities", S. Truett Cathy founder of Chick-Fil-A 1921 to 2014.
This 1965 Lincoln Continental was owned by Mr. Cathy as were many vehicles but he did have a particular fondness for Lincolns. Who could argue with him, this Lincoln is a dream to drive, nicely tinted windows, comfortable interior, a ton of trim and power options - it has been kept as original as possible.
Mostly original (except for reproduced parts or parts from a different year Lincoln), black, 4 door sedan, suicide doors, full-size luxury car, silver blue leather bench seats, 430 V8, automatic, carbureted, dual exhaust, power steering, heating and air, driver quality.
Recently replaced or serviced: radiator core, motor mounts, tires, recently serviced brakes, new brake hard line, front & rear shocks, strut rod bushings, tune-up, air and fuel filters, fuel lines, fuel pump, battery, heater hose, upper radiator hose, vacuum lines, exhaust system, service manual. Clean undercarriage and no rust.
***Comes with Bill of Sale, vehicle is currently tagged and registered in GA, title not required.
Some Q & A from some recent email inquiry's below:
All windows, electric locks, and AC work.
37k miles - not verified but was told it is low because it sat for so long. My opinion is mixed on whether it is 37k or 137k. Paint and interior tell me it could be that low - but just not sure sorry.
Things I would do if I were to keep it: has original paint which looks good for a 65 but would repaint; mechanical dash clock is not working; right-turn signal dash blinker needs bulb replaced (makes the blinker noise and taillight blinker works); electric seat adjust switch needs to be replaced as I accidentally broke off middle pin that adjusts front to back (about $120 off of ebay) seat motor IS NOT BROKEN and works as it should; antenna switch moves antenna down but not up (I guess it is a bad switch but not sure).
