1950 Lincoln w/ Suicide Doors Hot Rod
Description
Every car has a story and this is the story as I know it.....
A gentleman on the east coast spent many years and lots of money turning this 1950 Lincoln into the car of his dreams and unfortunately passed away before completion. His widow sold it to a hot rod shop, which completed the project and sold it to my best friend. There are over $25,000 in receipts not including the price of the car. My friend is a car nut who has five 49 & 50 Lincoln/Mercury's in various conditions, in which one is his daily driver. He sold me this car two years ago as he wanted to focus on 2 door restorations, and I loved the look and sound of this hot rod.
I know nothing about old cars except they are fun to drive and get too much attention.
This is a 1950 Lincoln that runs and drives great. The interior looks brand new and the exterior is a great 5 footer (looks great 5 feet away). You have to allow 10 minutes each time you stop so others can sit in it, take pictures and tell you of the time they knew someone that had one. It has an incredibly loud custom MTX stereo system with 12" woofers in the trunk. It has air bags so you can drop it at the local car shows and raise it to cruise in comfort. It has a racing Mustang 302 5.0 engine with an upgraded automatic transmission that runs strong and sounds great coming out of the side pipes. Side pipes can be capped and the mufflers kick in for a quiet ride. It has the classic suicide doors.
Paint is flat black that is a 7/10. It has a crack in the paint on the roof (pic), small paint chips along the edge of the hood and a couple of other spots. Trunk latch emblem comes with the car, just needs to be refinished and installed. No A/C or wipers.
This car drove from the east coast to Texas a few years back, and I would drive it across the country again with no reservations, except Texas heat is hot right now.
I can Facetime with you, video it for you or take your calls or text. You can come see it in Mt. Pleasant, TX.
