1979 LINCOLN MARK V COLLECTORS SERIES
Description
Beautiful, original and rare 1979 Lincoln Mark V Collector's Series.
Let me start off by saying this is not a $40k-$50k concourse car. So please don't expect that. If it were.. I'd be asking that kind of money for it. However, it is and stunning, extremely well cared for original car. This car has not had any rust or body repairs. It is straight as an arrow and solid as a rock! It is an excellent driver that would be the perfect candidate to make into a show car.
Exterior..Paint is a 10 footer. It had been buffed out earlier this year. Has a great shine. But is showing it's age all around. Most notably are stone chips on the front header panel and cracking on bumper fillers (see photos). I had the original painted stripes removed because they were fading. They were replaced with tape stripes.Vinyl top and trunk insert are in excellent condition. As is the body side trim. Bumpers are very nice. No fading or pitting. Super clean and straight exterior!
Interior.. the photos speak for themself. It is in awesome condition. The car has 88k miles. The interior could pass for 30k miles. All options work including the A/C. Radio works including 8-track tape. But the pre set stations do not keep. Headlight doors loose vacuum when sitting and will rise. But when started go right back down.
The car runs and drives great! I have thoroughly enjoyed taking it to all of the local cruise nights. It drives straight down the highway with ease. Vogue tyres have less than 500 miles on them.
This is an awesome car sure to make the new owner very happy. I will probably regret selling it. So then why am I selling it?? I'm not selling it because I need the money. I'm selling it because I could use the garage space. I have 8 cars. At least 3 have to go. I also have a 69 Mark III, 81 Mark VI and 98 Mark VIII for sale. I can't drive them all. Plus I have recently purchased a custom 71 Mark III convertible that will have most of my attention.
Check the NADA values. They have a #2 valued at $28.5k and a #3 valued at $10.3k. While this car may not be quite in the #2 high retail range. It is far above the #3 average range. You would be hard pressed to find a better, untouched Collector Series for this price. So I believe I have priced it more than fairly. But I'm willing to consider a serious reasonable offer. But please keep in mind. This is not a base Mark V or even one of those tacky designer series. It is a top of the line Collector Series. It was an $8,000.00 option back in 1979. So if you're a fan of the Mark V. This or the 1978 Diamond Jubilee is what you're looking for!
Please have all funds available and ask all questions before using the Buy it Now or Best Offer options. You're welcome to come see it in person or have someone come out to inspect it for you.
