Description

This is a very nice condition Lincoln Town Car that was used as the Hero car in American Gangster by Denzel Washington's character Frank Lucas. It is a rust free California car with a very nice black paint job and a beautiful original leather interior showing very little wear. Dash does have cracks from the CA sun but is covered with a dash pad. Being the Hero car, it did not see any stunt use and was not the car that was rigged and riddled with bullet holes. It has a tow bar on the front and would be towed by a film truck while cameras were rolling. This would allow the actors to concentrate on acting and not driving. The tow bar is currently still installed on the car. After its use in American Gangster it was being prepped for use in Green Hornet. It had the large wheels with big tires added and a high-rise intake with scooped air cleaner to give it a new look that matched the Green Hornet movie style. The car ended up never being used in the Green Hornet. The sale does include the front bumper, fender skirts and hub caps if someone wanted to put it back to the American Gangster look. We purchased this car directly from Universal Studios transportation coordinator and is documented. It runs and drives fantastic and is better than "movie car" quality. With the few changes required to bring it back to American Gangster, it would be an excellent car to drive, show and have fun with! Worldwide shipping available. Taxes and fees may apply depending on your location, please verify before bidding. See more photos herehttps://www.volocars.com/vehicles/14767/1972-lincoln-town-car
