1987 Lincoln Town Car SIgnature Series for parts/ repair
Description
I am selling this car for my father. Car was having overheating issues, and I assumed it was the head gasket. I removed all the accessories down to the fuel rails, needed the tool to decouple the fuel lines, got too busy and never returned to the job. The car was running before I began dismantling the engine, only it would get hot after being driven around the block. I removed the thermostat and the car still got hot. I am assuming a bad head gasket. My father put a fair amount of money into this car before it ran into this problem. I have many of the receipts. Off the top of my head, I know he replaced both exhausts from the engine to the mufflers. There is a new alternator, and a new AC compressor. He said there were also new shocks. When I say new, I mean he put these items on the car in 2011 or 12, drove no more than 800 miles then ran into the overheating issue. The last time the car was started was in 2016. I have all the necessary paperwork for titling the vehicle. Vehicleis being listed for LOCAL PICKUP ONLY. I have no way of transporting this vehicle to another location. I am happy to answer any questions. Thank you.
