1959 Lincoln Continental Mark IV 2dr NICE, mostly original
Description
I recently purchased this car as part of a package deal to get a '59 Cadillac Fleetwood that I've wanted for many years. I cleaned it up and replaced a few mechanical items to get it running and driving, including a rebuilt Treadle Vac, brake hoses, a new battery and fresh fuel. The previous owner had it for over 14 years as part of an extensive collection of classic cars that he is slowly liquidating, but it was rarely driven and it was kept in dry, heated storage. The car still needs a few minor items (driver's window doesn't go up or down and the other windows are slow, side window is cracked, gauge cluster cover is cracked, power seat motor spins but doesn't move seat, ignition cylinder bezel missing, etc.) but it is now mechanically functioning well (may still need carb adjustment and tune-up for better cold starts). Everything seems to be present, including all of the chrome and stainless trim. This car could be a great foundation for a restoration or just drive it like it is and repair the little things as you go. I believe the mileage (just under 52k) is original. Deposit of $1000 via PayPal is required; balance in cash. Payment must be made before any shipping but I will certainly help buyer with shipping as I'm able to; otherwise, pick-up is in South Lyon, MI. I can also deliver up to 250 miles from South Lyon for a separate fee.On Jun-18-16 at 10:14:29 PDT, seller added the following information:According to this website, the car is 1 of 1703 made in the 2-door body style for 1959:
