Description

1965 Lincoln Continental

Up for sale is my rare and very clean 1965 Lincoln Continental sedan. Perfect example of an original, rust-free California classic that’s never left the state. I am only the third registered owner of this Lincoln since new and it has always been very well cared for. Odometer reads just over 83k miles and I was assured by the previous family that it is original since the car sat in storage for over 20 years. This beauty drives excellent and can be used as a daily driver today. Clean California title in hand with current tags, registered to my name and ready to be transferred to the new owner. Get ready to turn heads everywhere behind the wheel of this amazing ride!

This Lincoln comes equipped with the original matching numbers 430ci big block engine and 3-speed automatic C-6 transmission that were both overhauled in 2016 and have less than 10k miles since the rebuild. It runs great and shifts smoothly into all gears. It has lots of power and picks up fairly quick for such a large car (320hp / 465 lb-ft) from factory. It starts right up on first key turn no matter how cold it is or how long it’s been sitting. The suspension, power steering, and power brakes all work excellent and the car feels good at any speed. No squeaks or rattles when driving and the power-train runs very smooth as a Lincoln should. I just had the brake power booster rebuilt and installed new front disc brakes as well. The interior was done earlier this year and it included new high grain leather upholstery, perforated headliner with sun visors, dash detail, chrome trim polish, trunk upholstery and a custom made spare tire cover. The dashboard is original anddoesn't have any cracks which is very common for Lincoln's of this era. The car was painted 3 years ago in a two-stage jet black coat that still looks very nice. As I mentioned before, it has all original rust-free sheet metal throughout and everything lines up perfect.Doors open and close with ease and don't sag when open. Original glass all around with no cracks. Electrical is in great shape as well, I had all 10 power window switchesrebuilt last year and all 6 windows operate as they should. The air condition system works but it's probably due for a freon recharge since it's blowing cool air now instead of ICE-cold. I spent $4k on chrome earlier this year getting the 3 piece front and 5 piece rear bumpers triple chromed. They look like mirrors now! Also had many other things re-chromed like the door handles, emblems, hood ornament, tail lights, front lights, headlight bezels, and misc exterior trim.

The Lincoln is available for inspection by any serious buyer during the coarse of this auction. Send me a message with yourcontact info and we'll set upan appointment as soon as possible. This is a NO RESERVE listing and the car will go to the highest bidder no matter what. Out-of-state and international buyers are welcome to bid and I can assist with the shipping process.
