Description

1966 Lincoln Continental . Condition is Used.

This is a very nice, nearly, rust free, stock car. It starts right up and runs strong. The engine and the transmission have both been Completely rebuilt in the last 500 miles. This car runs smoothand strong. The differential is quiet and tight.New seal put on differential 6 month ago.

The interior is Midnight Blue, leather. and one very small tear forming on the driver seat. The carpets show little wear but minimal for the cars age. It's a lowmileage car (58000) andwould account for the lack of wear. The headliner is up and tight with a small tear (2 “) towards the rearpassenger side. The door cards are fine. The power windows all work, several have new motors. The "ribbon" speedometer works great (rare I'm told) and I installed a “classic” sound System stereo to keep the original look with the benefit of Bluetooth.

I installed a Ride-Tech Air-Ride system and it works well. I had the lower ball joints replaced a few months ago as well. (pricey). The body and paint are quite nice.there are 2 small dents on the roof and will probably pull out without much trouble as they are not creased. Not very noticeable. The bumper and chrome are way better than average but not perfect. It has a new factory master cylinder. All the brakes were replaced last years. When taking photos today I found a patch of small bubbly rust down on the sill between the driver side rear door frame and the leading edge of the rear wheel well. An easy fix. 2 small chips inwindshield that have been there since i purchased this car over 5 years ago. There not growing.

It's a great car to drive, rides like a cloud, and draws waves, smiles, shouts and so on. Nice rumbly dualexhaust, recently redone. On the dash...some function lamps are shot, and the heat and air controls need attention.I did install an electronic oil temp / pressure gage. The gas gage does not work but shouldn't be hard to resolve. The car does have FACTORY A/C but, of course, it's not blowing cold. In '66 A/C was the only option for the car as far as I know. So... it’s plumbed! The steering wheel is original but cracked in 2 places. The trunk is large enough to house most of the Munchkins from The Wizard Of Oz. It almost echoes in there. lol

I try to be as exact in my descriptions as can be expected. I don't appreciate surprises and wouldn't expect you to either. I will post answers to questions for all to see and you can check out my 100% Feedback since 2000 when I began messing around here.

The automatic door locks do not function. All the mechanisms are there but the vacuum hoses need to be attached.

One more thing..... The car went into storage for a time and was auctioned off, the PO being the buyer. He has no idea about the history of the car, but from what I can see it hasn't been molested or mistreated. A few indicators came with the car, in the trunk. It appears the car was sold new in Elk Grove, CA, spent time in the Chico, CAarea, possibly where it went into storage.

I have all of the shop manuals and parts list for this car.

The car is sold AS IS without a warranty of any kind. Buyer will arrange, and pay, transport and transport fees unless picked up here locally in Santa Barbara CA. It will be available for test drives if you are willing to come here.

Just a few of the upgrades:Engine Rebuild 5K,Tranny rebuild$1200.00,Airbags: $5K,Tires and rims 2K,Stereo $1500.00 Trunk carpet kit$400.00Window switches and motors $400.00 Rubber seals for all door windows and trunk$1,250.00 Glasspack Exhaust System$300.00

I havereceipts for all work and purchases mentioned above.
