We purchased this car in 1993 with only 49,000 miles, and have used it gently since. The car has always been garaged kept. It is time for a new caretaker.
This car is all black: black paint, black interior, black roof. The ride is sublime: it just floats down the highway like no car built today.
The interior is completely original. The car was mechanically restored and painted in the ‘80s (we have a pile of receipts from that restoration, as well as every receipt since).
It still shows very well. This car is so fabulous that it has been specifically requested to be shown in auto shows alongside high-dollar concours cars.
We also have frequent requests to provide the car for weddings, parades, and much more.
Everything on the car works except for the cruise control (call for details), and the intermittent clock.
The only flaws in the car are a small paint bubble from poor paint prep years ago (see picture), a spot of rust or poor paint prep on one fender arch (has never changed in 20+ years),
a worn spot in the rear carpet (under the floor mat), and a crack in the dash (but the speaker grill is still intact).
The car was originally a western car -- it spent the first part of its life in Nebraska and Colorado. We brought it to Washington about 15 years ago (where cars also don’t rust).
You will be very hard pressed to find a lower mileage, more original, or nicer Lincoln convertible than this one.
