THIS VERY RARE BABY LINCOLN WAS SUBJECT TO AN EXTREMELY DETAILED RESTORATION JUST COMPLETED AUG 30 2016. STARTED WITH A PERFECT RUST FREE BODY AS IT IS AN ARIZONA DESERT CAR, AND EVERY BODY PART WAS PAINSTAKINGLY PREPARED FOR PRIMER AND PAINT FOLLOWING THE TWO TONE PAINT SCHEME AS ORIGINALLY WAS PRODUCED BY THE LINCOLN FACTORY. ONLY THE BEST PAINTS AND MATERIALS WENT TO CREATE AN AS ORIGINAL AS POSSIBLE BABY LINCOLN BACK TO ITS OLD GLORY.
99% RESTORED BUT LACKING BUT A FEW DETAILS TO MAKE IT A NUMBER 1 CATEGORY SHOW CAR. SOME CHROME LIKE THE DOOR HANDLES HAVE MICRO PITS AND THE NOSE CHROME PIECE HAS A DIMPLE AND A CRACK, HARDLY NOTICEABLE FROM 10 FEET. (SEE PHOTOS) FUEL AND TEMP GAUGES ARE NOT PRECISE AND THE CLOCK IS NOT WORKING. ORIGINAL RADIO IS WORKING GOOD WITH NEW SPEAKERS AND ANTENNA. ALSO THE ORIGINAL LAMINATED WINDOW GLASS HAS SOME MILKING AT THE EDGES AS THEY ARE 66 YEARS OLD. OTHERWISE IS LIKE A NEW CAR JUST OUT OF THE SHOWROOM.
THE 6 VOLT SYSTEM STARTS THE ORIGINAL 337 V8 AND CAR RUNS AND DRIVES LIKE A DREAM. ONLY ITEM ADDED AS AN MODERN IMPROVEMENT IS THE 6 VOLT ALTERNATOR WHICH WAS LOCATED EXACTLY IN THE POSITION OF THE OLD GENERATOR INCLUDING USING THE SAME FAN BELT. OTHERWISE EVERY ITEM ON THE CAR IS THE ORIGINAL TYPE AND MODEL PER FACTORY SPECS.
ALL MATERIALS USED IN THE INTERIOR ARE AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE TO THE PERIOD CORRECT FABRICS AND PLASTIC ON ANEXQUISITE VERY TOP CLASS COMBINATION OF RED AND BLACK COLOR KEYED WITH THE DOOR PANELS, DASH BOARD AND CARPETING. EXTREME CARE WAS EXERCISED TO AD SEVERAL LAYERS OF SOUND AND HEAT PROOFING INSULATION MATERIALS TO MAKE THE VEHICLE AS QUIET AS IT WAS INTENDED BY THE LINCOLN FACTORY WHEN NEW.
