Description

General................
I have owned this Lincoln since 1998. I am selling it because my health is not very good and I can't work on it anymore. I bought it restored, but the restoration is over 20 years old now and is showing normal wear. The car has been registered and driven since 1998. I have put only about 6,000 miles on the car in 18 years. Overall condition is very good to excellent. Title....................VERY IMPORTANT TO READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY!!!!!!!!!!! The state of Connecticut does not title cars built before 1981. This car is sold with a bill of sale only. In 2014, I was selling a 1957 Chrysler Imperial and was seeking information from the state regarding title laws. If your state requires a title for an old car like this, you should check the laws in your state before bidding.
Body..................Car was restored in 1996. The man I bought it from said that it had sat for years and needed some minimal rust and dent repair before he had it painted. There is a slight bump ( I don't know what else to call it) on the top of the left front fender......see photo. I also took a picture of a slight amount of rust on the right side roof/body area. I also took a picture of the drivers door window glass which has a crack. Rest of glass is excellent. Chrome is in very good condition and polishes up well. The passenger side door has been repainted and slight difference in color is noticeable
Interior............... Interior was totally restored in 1996. Seats are vinyl with blue leather inserts. Headliner is new. All the gauges work with the exception of the clock. The clock works sometimes, but does not keep good time, so I pulled the fuse for it.I also put in a newer radio with AM/FM cassette deck in 1998. I have the original radio that goes with the car. I don't remember if it works or not. All power windows including powered vent windows work. The right rear window has become stuck a few times, but seems to be working all right now. Powered seat works fine. The radio antenna, which is vacuum powered, does not work..........they rarely do work. The windshield wipers "kind of work"........They are super slow and will need attention. I never drive the car in the rain so they never get used.
Drivetrain......... Because the car sat for some time without being run, the man I bought the car from had the engine totally rebuilt.I have some of those receipts. Engine starts right up and idles very smooth. Engine and transmission both have oil leaks which I am almost sure came about from me not driving the car much during the last 5 years. I installed a brand new complete exhaust system from Mark II Enterprises.................entire system ...engine to rear bumpers...........have less than 100 miles on exhaust system. There is a faint smell of antifreeze while driving. This car has 2 heater cores ( which are in the engine compartment...not under the dashboard) and one must be starting to ever so slowly, leak. I put a can of stopleak in the radiator to see if that helps. Tires are about half worn, brakes are excellent, just had oil, filter, and car greased.
