1970 Lincoln Mark III Continental Runs & Drives
Description
The Mark has been put away for the winter with a cover. It's a pretty solid car and much money has been put into it. (over $2,000) and I traded 2 cars toward it for a retail of over $4,000. It's not worth that much especially because of the paint job needed. It would still cost quite a bit to totally restore it. The paint is a mess.Speedometer and odometer do not work so it it not the correct mileage. It's more a fun car to drive around in the summer unless you have the patience and money for restorationI can tell you all the good bad and ugly side to save you the pain before bidding.(most I will list below)I have driven it the last two summers and is quite the eye catcher. If we have a winning bid ..the cover will be off and will be running, of course.EX. Wiper motor and heating core need to be installed. I have them both but can't find the bracket for the wiper.Horns are disconnected because they go off on their own. Speedometer and odometer not working. Clock works if you play with the fuse. Maybe the fuses need cleaning.MOST IMPORTANT ..The Paint job is a mess. Needs to be totally sand down. The hood and trunk have a little jump to it as seen in pics. This would be costly unless you have your own person to work on itThere is visible rust but not bad.It also has a musty smell. All the windows work and within the last 7 years a black rug was installed. I don't think the seats were original because the car was originally blue..go figure.Mechanically the car runs pretty darn well. Transmission and engine are good. Tires goodA few things done..points and plugs, radiator, water pump, exhaust, parts like wiper switch, wiper motor, heating core, windows all repaired, some brake lines.$2000 goes fast.
Ask all the questions you want before bidding.thank youMiltonSouthern Maine
