The 105E was the original engine it came with from the factory (special Lotus head, but single cam with dual webers). The engine was changed in the early '70's to the much better, and bigger, E6015 Twin Cam that is in the car now. This same engine was then specially built up by Ecurie Canada to race spec in 1979 with dry sump (bored to just under 2L) This allowed the car to win first place in the GT1 class at the Montreal Grand Prix in '79. The engine is awesome. The car is stupid fast...but still road legal. You can peg it at 8K rpms. This same engine was again rebuilt in 2004.Thanks.
