Description

I am selling this car for my uncle who does not have an Ebay account. This Elan was vintage raced for 10 years and since 2007 it was only used for an occasional track or auto cross event. It was refurbished 2 years ago with all parts cleaned, lubed, adjusted or replaced as needed. It received new PPG Concept DCC paint at this time as well. The car has not been used since.
The engine was built with a 701M6015 block, steel crank and JE pistons. The transmission has a Quaife CR dog engagement gear set. The differential has a Quaife LSD and there are billet output shafts as well as billet rear stub axels. The car has adjustable front and rear Spax shocks and Sprint spec front wishbones.
The car comes with a clear title and has been used occasionally on the street. Presently is has an open exhaust but it has had a glass pack muffler in the past to tone things down for street use. The car has brake lights and turn signals but no head lights at this time. The original swivel headlight pods come with the car. You should check requirements in your state for street use but it should take very little work to get it in compliance if this is of interest to you.
The seat belts are in good condition but are out of date for race use. The seat has seen a lot of use and the padding is worn with some small rips. A spare seat which is a reproduction of those used in the 26R Elan is included in the sale and can be quickly mounted for passenger use.
Please feel free to contact the owner directly at gcmurt@gmail.com with any questions. The car is located in the greater Cincinnati area.
