Description

Over 90+ detailed pictures on my "hobby" website: "TaylorMadeClassicCars"1972 Lotus Elan Plus2 "S", engine runs, but NOT drivable (still needs brake/clutch hydraulic work). Previous owner since early 1990's, been left indoor storage for 27 years. I hooked up a battery (not included), sprayed Gummout 2+2 carb cleaner in carb, cranked it over and it started right up. Will need old gas drained and light recommissioning before it's roadworthy again. Has optional Lotus K/O alloy wheels, excellent interior, seats very nice, custom wood Emerson Fittipaldi signature steering wheel, dash veneer cracking, Stromberg fed Lotus twin cam engine, Lucas fog/driving lights with covers intact, good chrome bumpers, older repaint flaking, clear NJ title in my name. No known accident history, structurally sound, no frame rust. Car is unmolested and quite original configuration. Owner's manual included. With little effort, you could have a rolling restoration, or do the recommissioning work to make it a driver quality car.

Please remember that this is an "antique" vehicle 47 years old. It needs some restoration work and is consistent with a vehicle with this mileage, age and use. Car is available for pre-bid inspections and I would always encourage and welcome this. I am proud of my 100% excellent feedback score and always try to give accurate descriptions so that there are no surprises or disappointments. I am open and receptive torealisticoffers considering all that is included.

Those with less than ten (10) or negative feedback history do NOT bid unless you contact me and communicate first, otherwise your bids will be retracted and bidder banned from further bidding. The winning bid is NOT a right of first refusal, but a commitment to purchase the vehicle regardless of anything, so a non-refundable deposit via PayPal is required within 24 hours of auction ending and arrangements to be made for pickup of item. Vehicle is listed "for sale" by other venues and media, so I reserve the right to terminate the listing at any time.
