Description

I’m selling my 1994 Vintage Red R2 with 33,4XX original miles. It is an original R2 – no sunroof, wing, front lip, R2 suede seats, etc. There were only 156 VR R2’s made in 1994.
The exterior is an honest 7.5/10, with the potential to bring it to an 8.5+/10 if it has a really good buffing session. There are a few swirl marks, light surface imperfections, and light scuffs. There is a minor door ding on the passenger's side. The pictures do make the car seem slightly better than what it looks like in person.
The interior is an 8.5-9/10. Seats have minor wear, and there’s some other minor wear around the interior, but it’s held up very well for being 22 years old.
The vehicle has the following modifications:
  • Greddy front mount intercooler kit
  • Greddy BOV
  • Greddy single turbo kit (not sure which one)
  • K&N air filter
  • Tial Wastegate
  • High flow cat
  • Racing beat dual tip exhaust
  • Battery relocated to rear
  • Upgraded fuel injectors and fuel pump
  • Aeromotive FPR
  • ACT Clutch / Lightened flywheel
  • Underdrive pulleys
  • Apexi Power FC + Commander
  • Apexi Boost Controller + Turbo Timer
  • Autometer EGT, Fuel and Boost gauges + pods
  • Custom sound system with subwoofer, speakers + tweeters (no clue on the specs)

In addition to the above modifications, less than 20 miles ago, I changed the oil, spark plugs (new NGK), transmission fluid (Redline), differential fluid (Redline) and flushed the brake system (ATE).
Now for the bad. It has a small oil leak somewhere.. Playing worst case scenario, it could be the oil pan leaking.
As far as the engine, it has not been rebuilt, but starts well cold and hot and pulls about 15" on vacuum. The car was tuned years ago at 10 PSI, and it still pulls hard to redline, but a cleanup tune would never hurt, or if you want to turn up the boost. Regarding the turbo kit, I do not know what turbo kit it is. I was originally told it was a GT35R, but I don’t see any markings on the turbo other than “.70 M24” on the front. I do believe it's a Greddy turbo, but an older one, before the GT35R. The turbo kit uses vbands throughout, flex exhaust piping used for the downpipe and wastegate lines, tubular manifold – pretty nice setup. I just don’t know the actual specs!
The car has a clean California title, but I do have a part of the vehicle financed through PenFed ($8,820 owed).
I’m not in a big rush to sell the car, so no lowballers, please.
I will assist with any shipping preparation needed, such as dropping it off at a shipping location, prepping the car, etc.
Thanks for looking.
