Description

This little Monster Miata is a one of kind, no expense spared, unique showpiece with the performance and sound of a Harley, Shelby Cobra or mid-year corvette. What you have is a blend of the best. A 1990 Mazda Miata that looks like a BMW Z3 with a balanced and blueprinted Chevy V6. I'm selling the car for half of what it would cost to build. This reliable Miata combines the handsome looks of a BMW and the simplicity of a chevy. Here is some additional information about the build. There are BMW 4 lug wheels. The engine is a 3.1 L GMC V6 motor, bored, stroke, balanced and blue printed. around 8,000 miles ago. Eagle cam; Edelbrock intake; Holley Carburator; Camaro 5 speed transmission (completely rebuilt); Custom 5 speed shifter; 4.10 positraction rear end from Mazda RX7; Custom made Headman Headers; All gauges work Mechanical oil pressure and vacuum gauges; Sony Stereo/CD player: stainless steel roll bar; new convertible (glass rear window) top. Everything is in excellent condition and one exceptional build. I just turned 60, Dentist by day and car hobbyist since 1972. My goal since HS was to drive something different every 6 months to 1 year. I normally don't keep a car this long. The story behind this car is; I was getting over my MGB V8 phase and was looking for a Panoz. I found one in Miami as part of a very large collection owned by the Cardiologist (DR. G) who invented the cardiac catheter. We couldn't agree on a price for the panoz but I was just amazed at the quality of the workmanship and effort put into this car compared to my MGB V8 conversions so I jumped on it and sold off all 4 of my MGB conversions. What I like about this car is how simple yet well done it is. Plenty of room and clearance in the engine compartment and everything works down to the A/C switch on the dash to the key buzzer. When I first received the car I made some tasteful changes. Color matched a Mustang hood scoop, removed the side exhaust and installed a custom dual rear exhaust that sounds better than a Harley or corvette and the last thing I did was remove the hurst shift boot and replaced the boot with a late model mustang boot and shifter ball. Of all the cars in my current collection this is the only one my wife will actually request I bring home to use over the weekend. A lot of fun and very quick.... MAKE an OFFER. Trades considered up or down from 1960-2016 manual shift preferred.
