1965 Mercedes-Benz 230SL Base 2.3L

Description

It is a 230sl left hand drive automatic car, colour code 050G, with power steering and air conditioning and matching white hard top with brown soft top with no rips or tears. Original panels with spot welds showing on the inner wings and also the famous notches by the side of each front light. The bonnet is still showing its original numbers stamped in upper top left hand corner as well as the soft top compartment lid, along with the original number stamped in engine bay just under the air intake housing. Please note it does not have the original engine in it but in fact it has 280 engine M130 which was put in around 10 years ago by the previous owner. Prior to installation of this engine it was over hauled with new pistons and valves etc. The clock was set at zero and has now only done app 30,000 miles. This is very evident by how strong and how smooth this engine runs. The car also has a new fuel tank installed by previous owner who had owned car for last 30 years.
