Description

I have for sale here is a 1987 Mercedes-Benz 300SDL. It was my daily driving for the past few months. It runs drives and stops fine. It has new glow plugs and new front brake pads. The engine always starts however when it's cold it smokes white smoke and it runs rough. Once it's warm, it runs great and there is no more visible smoke. Absolutely not the head gasket since it has plenty of power and it's never overheated in my possession. My mechanic said it will need new injectors. I would drive it anywhere with confidence it cruises very nice at 80mph on highway. Also, it definitely has some vacuum leak since the transmission is not very responsive. It shifts fine but late especially from 1st to 2nd gear. The transmission itself is fine, the fluid smells good. I used to work at a transmission rebuild shop, I know this transmission is good, it just needs some vacuum leak taken care of. I did replace the servo piston band 1, but it wasn't the problem. The car is originally from California but it has spent its life in east coast for a long time so it has somerust. Nothing is structural just minor here and there, pleasetake a lookat the pictures. The previous owner didattempt to fix the sunroof but didn't finish it. Sunroof isin closed mode, there is no leak and the cover is off, I have the cover. The rear passenger power window doesn't work.AC doesn't work. The heat works intermittently during winter time, I believe it needs a new thermostat to fix this heating issue. When I titled it, the clerk at DMV made a mistake, it was 214k when I got it, and she put it 241k on the title. Since it is my backup car, I decide not to fix it. It is a good point A to point B car and it will get you to where you want to go. Or if you need a part car, it has plenty of good parts you can use. I'm selling this car as-is and you're responsible to pick it up. Again it will bring you to where you want to go, just nothing crazy like driving it back to west coast. At the end of the auction, I require $200 non-refundable security deposit via paypal, the rest of the payment will be due in 7 days. Thank you for looking and if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.
