1958 Mercedes 300d, "The Adenauer", Needs Restoration, Black/Tan, Texas Car
Description
This auction is for a 1958 Mercedes 300d, commonly referred to as the Adenauer. This car needs a complete restoration. The body is very straight. It has the original black paint (DB40G). The interior was original cream leather. The interior was removed years ago, then set back in the car after the restoration stalled and the car was taken home. It is now been weathered and will need complete refurbishment. All the wheels are there. I will put the left side wheels on the car and make sure the tires are all up and the car rolls for shipping purposes. The car comes with a clean Texas Title and will come with a Bill of Sale for receipt of payment.
What you see in the car is what comes with it. I know the bumpers included, although are not in the pictures. I am certain the follow pieces are missing:
- Door Handles
- Rocker Chrome
- Front and rear windscreens
- All door glass
- Hood star
- Radiator
- Radio
- Some interior parts: See pics. Seat frames appear to be there. Not sure about door panels. Most of the dash wood is in the trunk. The instruments are in the car. The glove box is in the car.
Again, look at the pictures closely and call me if you need to review them with me. I am not sure what the floors look like, but as you can see from the body panels the car appears that it was a good rust free Texas car before being disassembled and parked. Based on that, this is a good project for restoration. I have not tried to start the car or turn the motor but it was a good running car before the car was dismantled.
I can deliver assist with getting the car to your shipper. If the car is going out of Houston, I can personally deliver the car for a nominal fee. Please call me at 817-715-6163 to discuss. I do not have time to return many emails, so please try to call me first. Best wishes and happy bidding!
Remember to call me to discuss. I reserve the right to end the auction early. Thanks!
