Description

Real class never goes out of style! We're moving and finally selling our1983 Mercedes 380SL R107 roadster. Garage-kept. No smokers. The SL was purchased from a Mercedes dealer in Tulsa and stayed here the past 34 years.
Beautiful classic color combination of black exterior with dark tan leather interior. The interior is in very nice shape. No cracks or blemishes on the dash. Seats are not worn. The two power window buttons aft of the gear selector have their faces worn off but that doesn't impact operation. Preferred Euro headlights and new tires (less than 500 miles) on original metallic Mercedes bundt wheels with four-wheel disc brakes.
The R107 has been affectionately known as “The Panzerwagen” because of its tank-like build quality. The important thing here: no rust. Dual timing chain conversion (confirmed with pics). Service records from dealer and independent Mercedes shops here in Tulsa. Oil pressure is correct and no leaks. Just did oil/filter change, replaced air and engine filters, power steering filter, fuel filter. Replaced rear sway bar links to tighten back suspension. Therecirculating ball steering of the R107 is loose if you haven't driven one before.
The car hasn't been involved in an accident. The panels are straight and the heavy doors close with a solid thunk. No door dings and the black paint is deep and rich. There is a small area on the top corner of the panel right behind the removabletop that was touched up (undoubtedly from removing the top). It doesn't distract. Overall, the exterior is impressive.
Original Mercedes first aid kit mounted behind seats, full trunk tool set and original spare. Two keys. Retractable antenna and original Becker radio work correctly. Cruise control, lights, power windows and vacuum door locks work as they should. Climate control is weak (typical in cars of this vintage -- but it's a convertible).
Matching black hard top. Soft top is worn. We'll include the custom fitted car cover.
This is a third vehicle and we're moving. We'd rather not store. Any questions, please ask. We're happy to send more photos, show more detail, etc.
