This auction is for a 1968 Mercedes Benz 280SL Pagoda.Car needs restoration but is complete!
Car has never suffered an accident and has a straight body in its original red color. The car has both tops - hard top and the convertible. Doors, Hood and Trunk are in great shape - aluminum from the factory so NO rust and very straight. Needs care in the floor boards, bottom fenders, quarter panels and rockers.
Previous owner started taking apart the engine for a rebuild and never followed through. It has all theaccessories, starter, alternator, a/c compressor. There are hundreds of these engines that can be found for $1,200 - $1,500 although, the engine can be rebuilt and is the numbers matchingpower plant. The transmission is automatic and is also included.
Iscomplete with all the glass, body trim, seats ( both front and rear jump seats), Gauges and switches. Also has original spare tire, tool set, jack. Original trim. including grill, is straight and should re-chrome beautifully.
