1982 Mercedes Benz 240d 2.4 liter Diesel
Description
Hello, I am selling my 1982 Mercedes Benz 240d Diesel. It has a 2.4 liter 4 cylinder engine, with an automatic transmission. The car has normal wear and tear for its year, and is in overall great shape. Leather seats, working sunroof, power windows, power door locks, and lots of trunk space. In 1982 this car defined luxury, now it's a collector vehicle.
This diesel engine is a reliable motor with mechanical injectors, and is often used with a grease conversion kit which will allow it to run using waste vegetable oil (WVO). My plan when purchasing this car was to put a grease conversion kit on it and use WVO as my primary fuel. The reality is I have too many projects and not enough time to do all of them.
The current mileage is 121,000 and it is common for this 2.4 liter engine to run for 1,000,000 miles. The diesel engine runs great, it gets 22 mpg in the mountains and 30 + mpg in the city.
The tiers on the car have less than 5000 miles on them. Last year I replaced the oil cooler lines, windshield wipers, hood cable, and the battery. I also had the front brake pads, rotors and bearings, done. I follow a routine maintenance schedule with air filter, oil changes, and fuel filter changes. I have had this car since 2014 and maintained it meticulously.
Included in the sale will be a repair manual, extra fuses, extra oil filter, extra air filter, and extra fuel filters. I will also throw in the WVO filters, and WVO hand pump with sale of the car.
The car is located in Evergreen Colorado and is listed locally as well. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. This is a used car that is being sold as is. Please email me with any questions about the car. Thanks for looking.
