1976 Mercedes 450SL Parts Car
Description
We had a 1976 with 51,000 miles on it and it had a noise in the engine. Themechanic who diagnosed problem said the engine had jumped time and had self destructed. We bought this car with 96,000 miles and had the engine and transmission installed in the first car. This car is close to rust free. There is a small hole in the right front fender just aft of the wheel. All other panels are solid and straight. The hard top and soft top are both in good condition. If you have a wrecked or rusted 107 class this would be a perfect solution to your problem. You could take the two and use either for your restoration. It turned out that the engine in the first car had no major damage to it, just bent the exhaust valves on one head. We have the 51,000 mile engine and transmission, but they are not part of this auction. If questions, feel free to call me at 252 241 3601
