Description

Special you ask ? Indeed it is…Stunning 1981 Mercedes-Benz 300SD TurboDiesel. Truly one of the finest engineered Luxury Sedans in the world in 1981. This one, a RARE example, sold new by MBNA through the European Delivery Program, delivered at the factory at Sindelfingen Germany. Impressive ownership history, “Herbert & Alta” owned this car from 1981 until 2014, with Alta into her 90’s. This car lived the good life, garage kept and babied ! Last owner purchased in 2014, did engine replacement with a lower mile 300SD engine with appx 86k miles and drove approximately 7,000 miles since 2014. Condition of this car is AMAZING, an excellent example, with original paint in Pastel Beige with Dark Brown MB-Tex interior. The more you look, the more amazed you will be in the condition this car has been preserved with over the last 33 years. Paint still has it’s original luster. Zebrano wood trim throughout still shows like new. Dash, console, controls, all Pristine. Original spare tire, never down, still tagged from the factory. Excellent records, both service and registration all the way back to 1981. Every stamp in the book ! Has all it’s books, factory hang tags, owner data plate, original kardex, original First Aid kid, untouched. Cosmetically and Mechanically, this 300SD presents like a time capsule. Any of us that grew up around these Mercedes Luxury Sedans or owned them in the past know that this level of Mercedes Benz quality and engineering are a definite thing of the past. Our special thanks to “Alta, Herbert and family” for preserving this beautiful example…
