Description

Beautiful car. Get the best of the US 560sl power and parts availability, and the euro look of the 500sl.The car starts at first, even after sitting for a month. Battery does not drain. No leaks whatsoever, my garage is always clean. No smoke, no noises. Transmission shifts great, all gauges work and as you can see in picture of the cluster while running, the oil pressure is great at normal operating temperature. This is a 560sl, the only US R107 that had a galvanized body, so rust is not an issue like in previous models. The paint was fading in the hood and trunk, I had the car painted a few months ago at $2500. I have pictures of the car before paint and before I swapped the headlights and bumpers, which cost me over $5000.The dash had cracks, a common issue with these cars and the sun in Florida, so I installed a dash cover ($165), which looks OEM. This cover has nice grain and the color matches very well. The wood trim was cracked and faded, another common thing, and I had a new German set installed at a cost of $900.I had the rear sub-frame bushings replaced for a better ride, as these parts are now impossible to find. They cost me $700 plus $650 labor. The previous owner spent over $10K in maintenance recently at Mercedes Auto Center in Miami. The convertible top is not new, but looks good, very minorwear. The plastic windows are still clear, not foggy.Tires are like new, the car accelerates fast, feels very good. I did an Autocheck report when I bought the car last year, the car had an accident years ago, at 82K miles, I can see thatthe radiator support was replaced, but this looks like it was a minor accident. The reportshowed ¨moderatedamage¨. Seats and center console are in very good condition, only minor wear.I bought a set of rear seats to complete the euro look. These will need to be dyed/painted tomatch the blue interior, but I am including them at no charge (cost me $350).The hardtop was also painted and the headliner is in greatcondition.Air Conditioner works, it had major maintenance done recently.Undercarriage looks very clean (see pics). The trunk lid had a broke torsion bar (that holds the lid in the upposition), and ordered an used one and was replaced. However, the mechanic did not install it right and does not hold the lid. This should be a very minor item. The windows go up and down with no problem, most seals are new (convertible top to glass and doors), so water inside is not an issue.
Not a show car, not asking $25k forit, but a very fair price considering all the upgrades, maintenance and condition of the car. This car has had a ton of money and time invested, very reliable andbeautiful. It is sold as-is, where-is, no warranty of any kind. You are welcome to inspect the car in person. This is mywife's car, bought it to replace a previous 560sl we had, but we are now downsizing and moving to a condo, the car has to go before April.Ebay would only allow 24 pictures, but I have plenty of pics prior to painting and euro conversion.
