Description and Other Information

When you are finished reviewing the documents, photos and history, and think about purchasing this, I would implore you to place your highest bid.

Prices are starting to tick up on these and believe me when I say that you will not ever find a 560SEC in better condition than this.

If you buy this vehicle and it is not exactly like I’ve described, I will refund your money and $300 toward your airfare! I bought this sight unseen and had it shipped and it is immaculate!

I realize that I’m taking a risk at selling this at no reserve, but my hope is that if you’ve been looking for one of these, you’ll step up and put in your bid.

NOTE - NOTE - NOTE - Lots of photos at the end of this listing, so keep scrolling down!!

It is absolutely one of the best in the nation!

The sale of this vehicle is at NO RESERVE.

I'm buying a 2013 SL550 and because of sales tax laws in KS, the paperwork for the sale will go through a friend of mine that owns a car dealership.

In 1989, this beauty listed for $81,620, or $163,534 in 2017 dollars!

This is a California car since new and absolutely no rust ever. One family owner from 1989 to 2015, or 26 years, then purchased by another California collector, who took a year to restore this vehicle.

When the restoration was almost complete, he lost his warehouse space and I bought the car in September, 2016, sight unseen. I finished the work with;

1. New front windshield

2. Power steering pump rebuild

3. A/C compressor

4. Cruise control repair

5. Heating Unit Repair

These final repairs were finished up by me at a cost of over $6,000!!

There isn’t a better 560 SEC in the nation, period! You will never, and I mean never, find a nicer example of this beautiful, rare and restored 560 SEC.

Tons of money was spent by the restorer and by me on this marvelous vehicle to bring it to this current, almost museum quality and condition. If there’s a better one, I haven't seen it!

Comes with the original window sticker, manuals, restoration receipts, California plates, CarFax, etc.

This is a pristine, no rust, no damage, no excuse 560 SEC. Not the rust buckets with no history, 200k miles and needing thousands of dollars of work like most you see here on E-Bay. This unbelievable 1989 Mercedes Benz 560SEC has the original window sticker and many records and documents.

It has been a California car all it’s life until I purchased it and brought it to Kansas in September, 2016.

History

The car needs nothing and everything works!!

I have tons of records and documents on this vehicle.

The original owner, a very successful businessman and real estate developer in Newport Beach, passed on 3/30/2002 and his wife kept and drove the car. When she was unable to drive, she gave the car to her 50+ year old son, who rarely drove it.

So, same family from 1989 to early 2015.

He sold it to the restorer and collector noted above in early 2015 and that collector spent all of 2015 and part of 2016 painting and restoring the vehicle. I bought it when he lost his warehouse space and sold his collection. I finished the few final items.

The paint and chrome alone were $7,500!! Work was started in 2015 and I finished up in November, 2017.

The vehicle was and is rust free. I spoke with the body shop owner and he confirmed that this is a no hit, no damage vehicle that spent its entire life in California. Paint, chrome, brightwork, are all either OEM or polished to new condition. New tires, wheels, headlamps, corner lights, tail lights are all OEM factory new.

Odometer is about 106,325. I don’t drive it in the winter, but start it once a month and if it’s dry, I may drive it around the block, so it might have 20 or 30 miles more.

This 1989 model shares all of the features with the 1990 and 1991 models, not the older, less desirable models from 1986 to 1988.

The color combination is one of the most desirable and hard to find with white exterior and beautiful light gray interior.

Tires are brand new Michelin's with new chromed factory wheels.

Electronics are also perfect and everything works.

The vehicle was completely serviced and you can drive this car across the country!!

I change the oil every year regardless of mileage.

The car is kept in a heated climate controlled garage and is always hand washed. Does not leak a drop of oil! There are no fluid leaks, oil leaks, absolutely no smoke or funny noises.

The car shifts perfectly and drives straight as an arrow.

I’m describing this vehicle accurately, but welcome any personal review or test drive. Should you wish, and at your cost, I’ll be glad to take the vehicle to a Mercedes Benz dealer and have them provide you with an analysis of this beauty. You will appreciate the value and quality of this rare Mercedes.

You could spend over $30,000.00 finding a 560SEC with perhaps 30,000 miles, but I can guarantee you it will not be cleaner or in better condition than this.
