1982 Mercedes 300CD turbo diesel coupe only low miles w. records orig. paint

1982 was the first year Mercedes introduced a turbo charger for the gorgeous W123 series 300CD coupe. These cars already had a reputation for being extremely reliable and economical. Now with the added horsepower they were also much more fun for everyday driving .This particular car was finished in " Light Ivory" ( MB color code 623) with Palomino color MB-tex interior. It is a very elegant color combination and the original paint still looks amazing. It shines like on a much newer car. There are no dents or accidents on this original California car . This car has always only resided in southern California and there is absolutely no rust anywhere. It still even has the original blue license plate from 1982 .This 300CD has always been garaged and pampered and it shows. It is hard to believ, that it is 36 years old . The body and paint look like on a 2 year old vehicle. The interior is super clean as wel, as the many pictures will show. The headliner, door panels and carpets are clean and there are no cracks or tears in them . Even the original wood is in excellent condition and still looks elegant.This Mercedes has always been pampered and maintained professionally and it made all the difference. I do have the books and records.It always starts up right away without any hesitation and has lots of power from the start. The transmission shifts smooth through all the gears and there are no strange noises of any kind. The AC has recently been converted to the newer style freon and it blows cold . The climate control works accordingly. The original radio with cassette player still functions perfectly together with the power antenna. All the windows, the sunroof and the power door locks work properly.This 300CD is truly fun to drive in town and on the freeway. It cruises comfortably at 85-90 miles per hour while still averaging 27 mpg of diesel.With the relatively low miles and the very original clean condition it should be a great addition to any car collection. This car really sticks out. I do get thumbs up every time i take it out. Please look at 2 other 300CD's on Ebay right now with less miles but anaskingprice of $40000,-. This car has a few more mile, but was very well taken care of and driven by an adult.This gorgeous coupe would also be perfect for anybody who likes classic car, but needs them to be very reliable for every day driving . I would not hesitate to take it across country on short notice. I could not think of anything it needs. Please look at all the pictures i uploaded.
