The car was owned by a prominent family in Beverly Hills and was just recently brought out of their garage after 23 years. The car has only 116,954 original miles. This is a 100% rust free Californiacar since new still bearing both of it's front and rear collectible "blue and yellow" license plates. The fuel was drained prior to being stored which was really nice and a start up procedure was done with some fresh gas. Much to our surprise the car fired right up and idled like clockwork. It runs very, very strong and drives extremely well. The transmissionshifted exactly like it should on our test drive and the entiredrive-train felt solid and tight. Driving this car is a real pleasure. The brakes, steering and suspension are all up to par and feel great! All mechanical, electrical and climate control systems operated properly when tested. All power option worked fine when tested with the exception of the drivers side window which most likely will need a new regulator/motor. The sunroof opens and closes.
Cosmetically the car could not be more original and un-touched. Everything down to the bare bones is original to this car just like when it left the showroom. The paint has never been touched and the car has not been in any accidents or had any previous repairs, touch up's rust repair bondo or replacement panels. A car is only original once and this is exactly what you are getting with this one. There is a small series of dents/ripple on the passengerfront fender which can be viewed in the pictures below. Other than that the body is arrow straight. The paint is almost 40 years old and still very attractive and presentable. The car has a tremendous amount of patina. Obviously there is fading, discoloration, hazing, chips, nicks, dings and whatever else you might expect from a well cared for garage kept California car. All in all this is truly a handsome piece. The car has lovely original chrome, trim, weatherstripping and aluminum. Nice period correct Centra wheels have peeling and various imperfections, but still look great and give the car a very Europeanlook! Both window louvers are in superb condition.
The interior is also 100% original and un-touched. The original leather front seats are hard and brittle and in need of some upholstery work. The rear seats are much nicer however they do show some wear and tear. The headliner, door panels, console, dash, wood accents and carpeting are all in exceptional condition. So with some new leather seats this interior can be incredible!
This is a great looking and driving car, most importantly it is completely and 100% rust free and has had only one registered owner since new. It does not get any better than an all original car that has been in California since it was new.
With some cosmetic TLC this up and coming SLC will be a real head turner.. Now is the time to buy a 107 coupe while they are still obtainable for a reasonable price. Dont miss out on this "Survivor".
