1973 Mercedes Benz 280SE

MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to present this 1973 Mercedes-Benz 280SE. This light Blue Benz defies its age and would be comfortable as a daily driver or weekend driver. Ironically this is one of the few times the U.S. Mercedes gets the larger 4.5L displacement than its 3.5 cousin in Germany.

The Mercedes-Benz W108 and W109 are luxury cars produced by Mercedes-Benz from 1965 through to 1972 and 1973 in North America only. The cars were successful in Germany and in export markets including North America and Southeast Asia.

Finished in Aqua Blue (code 917), the paint job remains pretty much all original & unrestored shows well. Front bumper has a good fit with a brilliant finish. The rear bumper has a excellent fit and finish that shows well. All trim pieces are present and have a brilliant finish. The weather stripping is still very pliable with little or no shrinkage or drying. The U.S. spec headlights, Amber driving lamps and taillights are in very condition with no hazing or cracks.

Inside, the rich Blue MB-Tex vinyl seats all look great with no major signs of wear visible. Excellent matching carpet throughout the interior. Overall the genuine wood looks looks very nice throughout the interior. The door panels and dashboard are matched perfectly with the interior of the car and look fantastic. The car is further equipped with Air Condition, which blows but not cold. The headliner mirrors the rest of the cabin and completes the theme. The original power windows, power locks, original steering wheel and Kenwood AM/FM CD player complete the interior.

This nicely represented Mercedes is equipped with the 4.5L SOHC cast-iron block m117 V8. Power is transferred to the wheels by a 3-speed automatic transmission. The driver assist features include power steering and power 4 wheel disc brakes. 14 inch OEM steel wheels with Aqua Blue matching full Mercedes trim caps.

Ideal for an everyday driver or weekend get-a-ways, this 280SE is the way it’s suppose to be, a luxurious exterior with the 4.5 liter heart of German motorsports! GET OUT AND DRIVE!!!
