Description

1500 miles ago mechanic recommended I stop driving it until I get the issues in the rear end sorted out. No time, but, maybe it's time to turn it over to a new enthusiast. It is starting to show it's age but continues to not let me down.
The Great:
My daily driver has never left me stranded. Has started every time all winter down to -20F, and all summer runs a cool 85-90c according to the gauge when it's a 100F outside. Miles are still climbing as it continues to being driven every day for a 40 mile commute at interstate speeds. The only illuminated dash light is low washer fluid. Several hundred miles ago mechanic recommended I stop driving it until I get the issues in the rear end sorted out. No time, and maybe it's time to turn it over to a new enthusiast. It is starting to show it's age but continues to not let me down.No reserve, as is auction.
The not so great in no particular order:
The left rear shock tower broke loose. I had the top, portion and took it in to have it welded back in place. My man reported back that I should consider whether or not I wanted him to put that much effort into the car. Since it's never been my favorite, I decided against proceeding with it. Needless to say we didn't patch up the left shock tower, so no shock on that side at the moment.
Replaced thestruts on the front last year, but getting to be time for ball joints, nonetheless, runs straight down the road.
Leaks a little oil, like every Benz I've ever owned. May just be the valve cover, but I never got around to getting after it, easier, to add 1/2 a quart every few weeks.
The seal went out in the power steering pump a while back, may only require a seal kit to repair, but haven't had the time, so driving without power steering.
When I got it, they told me the ac compressor was bad, but didn't have time to replace it, but they gave me the used one they were going to install. But I never got around to putting it in. Just going to and from work, not like I live in the car.
Center muffler, broke off, muffler shop said it would be easier to straight pipe from the cat to the rear muffler than try to put the center one back, so we did that, no further problem there.
Leaking a little brake fluid.
Starting to show some body rust, particularly around the fenders.
Inside:
Only dash light is the wiper fluid, which is full, so probably a stuck float or something.
Intermittently, a bad bulb warning, so probably a loose brake light bulb.
Once in a while the SRS flashes on for a sec, then goes out, which from I've read is common with old age.
The outside air temp gauge reads -36f most of the time.
Vinyl wrap on the B pillars is loose, probably could be repaired with a little spray adhesive, but would not enhance performance.
Missing the center arm rest.
Missing one of the soft panels in the trunk.
The hood liner has apparently disintegrated some time ago.

As it is pretty complete and seems to have a strong running engine and transmission would seem to be a could candidate for someone wanting a Benz to rehab.
As is, no reserve. Message me if your interested and I'll answer any questions as best I can.
